We’re 5 weeks away from Comic Con Cape Town 2025 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre 2 from 1 to 4 May 2025 and excitement is building!
While the news trickling in on socials from the CCCT HQ may not make the Daily Planet’s headlines, here is what we know so far:
The Artists’ Alley is overflowing with epic talent:
As per usual, some of the fandom’s favourite comic book creators and artists are taking over the Artists’ Alley, brought to us by the super awesome Fan Con Cape Town team! Bring along your top collector editions and have them signed by international and local artists including Laura Braga (Star Wars series for Lucasfilm – Marvel Comics); Sean Izaakse (The Fantastic Four, Deadpool, Avengers for Marvel Comics, as well as Green Arrow and Challengers of the Unknown for DC Comics) and Jim Cheung (Young Avengers, Avengers vs X-Men, Infinity, Justice League, and Wonder Woman)
Win a Trip to Japan and the chance to represent South Africa in a global cosplay competition :
Come dressed to impress and your awesome costume could win you the opportunity to represent South Africa at the World Cosplay Summit Championship in August 2025. CCCT is playing host to the fourth regional qualifier for the WCS Champs and all you need to do to be in line to win is to rock your epic cosplay and perform a 2-minute 30-second skit with a team mate.
The International Stars have nearly all been announced:
In addition to Zach Aguilar, the incredible voice actor of Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Aether in Genshin Impact, and Byleth in Fire Emblem: Three Houses/Super Smash Bros, CCCT is also bring the talented actor Michael Trucco, best known for his roles in Battlestar Galactica, The Big Bang Theory, and Fire Country to our sunny shores. Book your must-have photo and autograph sessions here and catch them on the Main Stage for their chats.

Star Wars Day is going to be out of this world:
The final day of CCCT is Sunday 4 May 2025, Star Wars Day, and you know what that means: the Force will be strong with this one!
Get transported to a galaxy far far away with the day activities including the incredible Paul Roos Gymnasium Orchestra ‘s performance (in costume!) of John Williamsβ iconic Star Wars score on the Main Stage at 10am. The Star Wars Quiz kicks off at 5pm.

Saturday’s tickets for Comic Con Cape Town are already SOLD OUT. Tickets for Thursday, Friday and Sunday are available now, starting from R220, through Howler.
