#NetflixandChill home alone edition: what to watch this weekend

Our Superfans Whatsapp chat has been blowing up this week as Leonie, Tendai and I have been sharing our top Netflix recommendations with each other.

Since I’ve decided what I’m binge-watching this weekend (or, let’s face it, for the next week at least because jeez, is anyone else struggling to concentrate and actually stay on your couch to watch anything like I am?!), I thought I’d share it with you too:

Hollywood:

From Ryan Murphy, creator of American Horror Story and Glee, comes this alternative look at what Tinseltown would look like, post World War II and with the dismantling of diversity prejudices.

Blood&Water:

With the Zephany Nurse family categorically distancing themselves in the media from this locally produced series about a Capetonian teen living in the shadow of her infant sister’s disappearance and a chance encounter that hints at a reunion , I am definitely keen to watch Blood&Water.

Space Force:

Giving us something to laugh about in the middle of this pandemic, Steve Carell leads this comedic take on the launch of a military space programme where everything that can go wrong does, in a spectacularly disastrous fashion.
